Growing Tips for English Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia and Lavandula Intermedia)
Lavender is easy to grow and will quickly make a good bushy plant or even a hedge. It loves well-drained soil and a sunny position. Before planting, prepare the ground well and get rid of any weeds. Dig a hole twice the size of your plant pot and if necessary, add some grit for drainage. Water the hole and then plant the Lavender, back-filling the hole around the plant with soil. Water well and keep watered while the plant is getting established. At the end of the flowering season cut back your Lavender by about one third to maintain its shape and bushiness. It will over-winter, ready to burst into bloom next year.
